Yep. by michael khavounitis https://www.veganrv.com/a-vegan-can-have-a-heart-attack-yep/#comments/995 Wed, 12 Jun 2019 15:21:12 +0000 http://www.veganrv.com/?p=1670#comment-995 I am aware of some research that shows that fatty plaques (not calcium types) have a bio film which is from various ingested bacteria that require iron to survive and when iron goes missing in the diet the bio film breaks off to induce iron for their needs. this break off of plaque can clog the artery and the LAD (referred to as the widow maker). You are very lucky in how timely you were treated. For what its worth I use nicotinic acid (niacin) to keep my cholesterol under control. people with gum disease, psoriasis and asthma are at higher risk of coronary artery disease. good dietary fats and the reduction of sugar is of the utmost importance. Nicotinic acid increases the production of NAD (one of the sirtuin sisters) and increases cell energy in the mitochondria offering protection for age related diseases, while not eliminating them it delays the onset of such. do your own research and take your doctors advice.
best wishes

Pasta is out. Sodium is out. No fried foods, no substitute foods for dairy or meats. Strictly fruit, vegetables, unsalted nuts, and unsalted grains. Raw or steamed or baked or grilled on an electric grill.

Comment on Tofu Scramble by Laura Nunemaker https://www.veganrv.com/recipe/tofu-scramble/#comments/992 Sat, 16 Feb 2019 19:59:33 +0000 http://www.veganrv.com/?post_type=recipe&p=3248#comment-992 You’re welcome! I’ll eventually post the other two when I can record video. Kala Namak or black salt isn’t very easy to find. If you have an international grocery they might have it in the spice section. Otherwise, Amazon has it. Or, you can leave it out. It just makes it taste a little more eggy.

It was a pleasure meeting you as well and maybe we’ll run into each other again!

I was not able to attend your cooking demo and I heard how good it was. I have all those ingrediants except the black pepper, which I never heard of. I will arrive back home in Tampa, Florida tomorrow and will pick up some black pepper and tofu so I can make this dish. It was great meeting you and Kevin in Quartzsite.
